The Purple Cat Has a New Owner!

As of April 2024, Pennie Wamboldt owns The Purple Cat. We are still your new favorite book shop with a few changes.

The Purple Cat is also a mini gallery, showcasing local artists and local authors. We’re pleased to promote local talent. Not only does the artwork enhance our shop but the work is for sale. Stop in and see these gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces.

• We have photo art note cards and jewelry by several different local artists.
• We have other fun things, too!  Our 3-D bookmarks are popular with amazing designs. Our coin purses are cute and practical and especially nice with a gift certificate tucked inside. Don’t forget a fabulous book bag, available in several sizes & designs.
• We have two sections of Almost Collectibles and Classics. Stay tuned for a new, larger display of these interesting and sometimes rare finds!
• Come browse our selection of gently used Jigsaw Puzzles and new Prescott Wildlife Photo Puzzles by local artist Heather Spencer.
• Don’t miss our sale bookcase. There’s always some good buys there. Please remember book credits or coupons are not accepted on clearance purchases.
• Come see our new Sparkling Suncatchers by local artist Judy Paris!

Of course, browse our great selection of good used books! There’s something for everyone.
