Come check out Zootographer Steven Gotz’ fantastic photos of the amazing animals at Prescott’s own Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary! Purchase one of these beautiful, framed photos for just $50. All proceeds go to support our important rescue, rehab, and educational zoo!

Pennie Wamboldt is the owner of The Purple Cat.
We are still your new favorite book shop with a few changes.

The Purple Cat is also a mini gallery, showcasing local artists and local authors. We’re pleased to promote local talent. Not only does the artwork enhance our shop but the work is for sale. Stop in and see these gorgeous, one-of-a-kind pieces.

We have photo art note cards and jewelry by several different local artists.
We have other fun things, too! Our 3-D bookmarks are popular with amazing designs. Our coin purses are cute and practical and especially nice with a gift certificate tucked inside. Don’t forget a fabulous book bag, available in several sizes & designs.
We have two sections of Almost Collectibles and Classics. Stay tuned for a new, larger display of these interesting and sometimes rare finds!

Book Credit Policy

We encourage customers to bring in their gently used books or jigsaw puzzles for book credits.

Here’s how it works:

For each book or puzzle we take, you will receive $1 book credit.
When you purchase books or puzzles, you may use your book credits for up to 1/3 of your purchase. Please remember book credits are not accepted on clearance purchases or items created by local artists or authors.
